As per our discussion on comms here is the brewery that had the smoky flavored whisky barrel aged beer. I couldn't find it on their website so I suspect its a seasonal but if you're ever in boulder look this place up. www.averybrewing.com/our-ales/82Also feel free to suggest your favorite beers since I'm starting to brew my own beer now.

micro brews are the way to go, theres a place where i live that has 24 taps of mostly microbrews constantly changing every time a tap is kicked among my favorites: St. Bernardous ABT 12 ( beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/259/1708) a Quad style belgian beer 10% alcohol. you gotta have t to experience it Cigar City Sea Bass ( beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/17981/62206) this one is not for everyone, some people hate it, others love it. its a saison style beer(technically a farmhouse ale according to the creator), very bitter. 8% alcohol Cigar City Vuja 'De ( beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/17981/65426) American ale style, sweet flavored but not overly so, however you have to get used to it at first. 10% alcohol Cigar City Warmer Winter Winter Warmer ( beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/17981/46367) Now this one is special... its Christmas in a bottle, a very very sweet beer, i cant two in a row. have to give it some time for the sweetness to calm down. 10% alcohol

Nice Falcor! Thats great news man. I'm doing pretty well, been crazy busy with work and its gonna ramp up even more next spring. dArKsOuLwArRiOr: Yeah that first one I got impatient on and didn't let it it prime as long as it was supposed to to build up carbonation the later ones get about a 3/4 inch head on them. I'm ready for this next batch though I learned a lot and did a much better job brewing it.
